Pipeline Systems Incorporated honored by Control System Integrators Association as Charter Member
(CONCORD, Calif.) - May 14, 2008 - Pipeline Systems Incorporated (PSI) has been honored as a Charter Member of Control System Integrators Association (CSIA), one of only 14 members of the world’s largest association of control system integrators to earn the recognition.
The award was presented to Joe Malter, Senior Project Engineer for the Concord-based firm, during CSIA’s 15th Annual Executive Conference, held in Savannah, Georgia, earlier this month.
PSI was also honored at the event for its successful re-audit earlier this year for its adherence to the Association’s Best Practices and Benchmarks Process, which enabled the company to maintain its coveted position as a Certified Member of the Association. The company first achieved Certified Member status in 2004.
“Companies like PSI provided the initial foundation for our association more than 15 years ago,” said Norman O’Leary, executive director of CSIA, “and they have continued to provide the direction, vision, and support that have enabled us to grow nearly 20-fold since our first conference in 1994. We are proud to call PSI a member of Control System Integrators Association.”
“We are honored to be recognized as a charter member of a respected organization such as CSIA,” said Ron Derammelaere, President and CEO of Pipeline Systems Incorporated. “Our long-standing membership reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and reinforcement of our business objective to be a low-risk, high-value partner for our clients.”
Pipeline Systems Incorporated, a member of the Ausenco Group, is recognized as a world leader in the engineering and design of state-of-the-art long-distance slurry pipeline systems. The company, which has nearly 500 employees worldwide, has a network of offices in the United States, Canada, South America, China and Australia. It provides services to a diversified client base, primarily in the iron ore, bauxite, and base metal sectors.
